William “Will” Hale III is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP's Atlanta office. He is a member of the Commercial Litigation/Directors & Officers and Data Security, Privacy & Technology Practice Sections.
Mr. Hale’s practice focuses on defending clients in complex privacy and technology-related disputes, including class action data breach litigation, data breach response and matters arising under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In addition, he regularly represents businesses in commercial litigation involving contract disputes, director and officer defense, fraudulent wire transfer claims and trade secret misappropriation. He also advises clients on contract drafting, giving him a comprehensive perspective on both risk mitigation and dispute resolution.
Mr. Hale graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in finance before attending Georgia State University College of Law. While at Georgia State, he helped found the Legal Analytics Association and graduated with a certificate in Legal Analytics & Innovation. He is a certified information privacy professional (CIPP/US) and is dedicated to improving his clients’ information and data privacy practices.
Outside of the office, Mr. Hale enjoys spending time with his family, supporting the Georgia Bulldogs, playing golf and basketball, and traveling.
