Xander Melnick is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Atlanta office. He practices in the Government Law and Tort & Catastrophic Loss national practice sections. Xander regularly represents local governments and their officers in federal civil rights litigation and virtually every type of related state-law claims. He also represents privately held businesses and publicly traded companies in cases involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death.
Before joining FMG, Xander worked as a law clerk at a boutique personal injury firm handling a variety of tort claims including premises liability, negligent security and products liability. In less than two years, Xander helped recover well over seven figures for his clients.
Xander Melnick received his J.D., with honors, from Emory University School of Law and his B.A., with honors, in political science from Mercer University. While at Emory Law, Xander worked for the U.S. Dept. of Defense’s Military Commissions Defense Organization where he obtained Top Secret (TS/SCI) Security Clearance representing detainees at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. Xander was also a research assistant for Dean Richard Freer and interned for the Honorable Christopher J. McFadden in the Georgia Court of Appeals.
