FMG Announces New Partners in California, Florida, Georgia, and Kentucky

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP, a leading national litigation firm, is pleased to announce the election of new partners, effective January 1, 2021-Sara Brochstein (Atlanta), Tia Combs (Lexington), Elizabeth Fellmeth (Los Angeles), Michael Hill (Atlanta), Wesley Jackson (Atlanta), and Melissa Santalone (Tampa). Ben Mathis, Managing Partner said, “We are so very proud of this group of lawyers. Sara Brochstein is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Atlanta office. She practices in the firm’s government law national practice section. She also practices in the firm’s general and professional liability sections. As part of the government law section, Ms. Brochstein has a broad litigation practice with a focus on defending cities, counties, law enforcement officers, and other governmental individuals in civil rights and general liability matters in both state and federal trial courts and appellate courts. Tia Combs is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Lexington office. Her primary areas of practice are school law and insurance litigation, including insurance defense, coverage disputes, fraud investigation, and bad faith litigation. Ms. Combs has considerable experience representing school boards throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky in matters ranging from employment and personnel conflicts to student disciplinary matters and civil rights to contract negotiation and drafting. Read more.

Elizabeth Fellmeth is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Los Angeles and Orange County offices. Her practice focuses on business, commercial and employment litigation. Elizabeth has considerable experience representing clients in proceedings involving state and federal securities law violations, real estate claims, professional liability issues, financial fraud and business disputes. She also handles a variety of civil and regulatory matters before state and federal courts, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the California Department of Insurance.  With respect to her employment practice, Elizabeth represents employers in discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour class actions, and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative claims. Read more.

Michael Hill is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Atlanta office. As a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Law National Practice Section, Mr. Hill represents both public and private employers in litigation and pre-suit negotiations involving claims of alleged unlawful discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; wage and hour disputes; family and medical leave issues; and employment-contract disputes, including contracts involving non-disclosure, non-solicitation, and non-compete agreements. Read more.

Wes Jackson is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Atlanta office. Mr. Jackson received a B.A. in English and a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia, where he graduated with High Honors from the Honors Program. He then received his J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School. While in law school, Mr. Jackson served as an Articles Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review and a teaching assistant for the Legal Research and Writing program. Read more.
