Lawyering & Social Media: Best Practices and Insurance Issues

Please join us on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 as we discuss the challenges of practicing law in the era of social media.  Specifically, we will discuss the best practices lawyers should follow when using social media, including using social media as a discovery tool, advising clients on how to use social media during a case, and ethical advertising issues.  Kelly Geary, Esq., Managing Principal with the insurance brokerage firm, Integro, will also discuss insurance and underwriting issues unique to lawyer errors and omissions policies.

The Webinar will begin at 2:00 p.m. (EDT) and end at 3:00 p.m.

Mr. Moura is an associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Los Angeles office.  Mr. Moura is a member of the firm’s Commercial and Complex Litigation group, the Coverage and Bad Faith group, and the Data Security, Privacy & Technology practice team.  Mr. Moura’s complex litigation practice includes representing insurers in complex coverage and reinsurance disputes, including reinsurance arbitrations.  He represents insurers in the defense of claims in financial, business, and casualty matters.  He also represents insurers in “bad faith” actions and provides insurance coverage opinions involving complex coverage disputes.

 

Kelly S. Geary, J.D., CIPP/US 

Kelly Geary is a Managing Principal with Integro USA based in the New York City area.  She serves as the U.S. Cyber Practice Leader for Integro as well as Coverage Counsel & Claims Leader for the Specialty Division within Integro.

Kelly has spent approximately 25 years in the insurance industry.  She began her career as an insurance defense and coverage attorney in the professional lines space in New York City.  After private practice, Kelly held various positions within the claims, underwriting, compliance and legal departments at various NYC based insurance carriers with a focus on professional, specialty and financial lines products.  

Kelly is licensed to practice law in the State of New York and is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a U.S. Information Privacy Professional.
