The attorneys in our Data Security, Privacy & Technology practice group take a proactive approach by working with clients to ensure compliance with data security and privacy laws and to prepare for data breaches before they occur.
Our Compliance & Cyber Risk Management team helps clients proactively minimize legal, operational, and reputational risks in today’s complex regulatory and threat landscape.
We work with clients to develop policies, procedures, and training programs that comply with U.S. cybersecurity laws and build strong data governance frameworks aligned with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
Our work in this area includes the following:
- Advice & Counseling: Design and implement data security and privacy policies, employee training and internal procedures that meet legal standards and industry best practices.
- Incident Response Plans: Create and update tailored plans outlining roles and actions to reduce disruption and ensure compliance during data breaches or cyberattacks.
- Table-top Exercises: Facilitate customized exercises to test readiness, uncover gaps and train teams on scenarios like ransomware and insider threats.
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review and negotiate technology, vendor and data processing agreements focused on cyber risk allocation, regulatory compliance and data protection.
