Travis Swallow is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Walnut Creek office. He is a member of the Tort & Catastrophic Loss and Appellate practice sections. His practice focuses on defending clients in a wide variety of personal injury matters including general negligence, motor vehicle, products liability, and premises liability claims. Travis also has experience in trademark clearance, application, and prosecution, including post-registration enforcement.
Travis represents individuals, businesses, and property owners in litigation involving bodily injury and property damage claims. He is known for his thorough case preparation and client-centered approach, emphasizing clear communication and efficient resolution strategies. Travis is also a member of the firm’s Law and Motion team where he focuses on crafting strategic dispositive, pre-trial, and post-trial motions. Prior to joining FMG, Travis practiced at a mid-sized firm where he gained broad experience in civil litigation matters.
In addition to his practice with Freeman Mathis & Gary, Travis is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of San Francisco where he works with the school’s Moot Court program to instruct students in effective written and oral advocacy. His involvement includes serving as an attorney-coach for one of the annual competition teams.
He earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he also received an Intellectual Property Certificate. During law school, Travis served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association, participated in the Moot Court program as both a competitor and student coach, and volunteered as a staff editor for the Intellectual Property & Technology Law Journal. He also completed pro bono work through the Internet and Intellectual Property Justice Clinic.
Travis is admitted to practice in California and is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association where he serves on the Executive Board for the Barristers Section, National LGBTQ+ Bar Association, Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom, and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
