Overview

Emily Muzyka is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Tampa office. Ms. Muzyka’s practice focuses on the defense of claims in the areas of Labor & Employment, Professional Liability/E&O and Construction & Design Law. She has written articles on employment law, providing employers with practical insights into recent legal developments.

Ms. Muzyka represents a variety of businesses and licensed professionals in employment related matters and construction defense dispute defense litigation. Ms. Muzyka’s practice includes representing her clients in administrative complaints, pre-suit mediations, arbitrations, and in litigation. Ms. Muzyka takes a client-centered and results-driven approach to all of her cases by fully developing her cases from day one and keeping her clients informed through every step of the litigation process.



Ms. Muzyka received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she was the Lead Executive Editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law. At UConn Law, Ms. Muzyka was a student associate in the UConn Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic, where she advised clients on Patent and Trademark matters. Ms. Muzyka served as the Vice President for the Energy and Environmental Law Society for the 2021-2022 school year. In addition, she was an active member of the UConn Law Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Society and played softball for the UConn Law Softball Team. Ms. Muzyka attended the University of South Carolina, where she received her B.A. in Political Science with Honors. Additionally, she minored in Biology and had concentrations in International and U.S. Politics. While at the University of South Carolina, she played Rugby for the USC Women’s Rugby Team and was an active member in the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity.
