Overview

Alexander Tang is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the San Diego office. He is a member of the Commercial Litigation/Directors & Officers and Data Security, Privacy & Technology practice sections. He is actively involved in the Class Actions, Homeowners Associations (HOA), Intellectual Property, and Privacy & Data Breach Litigation interdisciplinary teams. His practice focuses on general liability, directors and officers (D&O) liability, intellectual property disputes, and data privacy and security class action litigation.

Alexander represents a diverse range of clients, including corporate directors, HOAs, and technology companies, in complex litigation involving breach of duty, IP infringement, and cybersecurity incidents. He is known for his strategic litigation approach and commitment to client advocacy, particularly in matters involving emerging technologies and regulatory compliance.

He earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jill L. Burkhardt of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. During law school, he provided pro bono legal services through the University of San Diego Legal Clinics and held a leadership role on the executive board of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. In recognition of his leadership and dedication to service, Alexander received the Thomas F. L. McCauley Award in 2024. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Public Law.
