Carlo R. Tapia is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP in the Sacramento office. He is a member of the Labor & Employment and Tort & Catastrophic Loss practice sections.
Carlo brings valuable experience from his work at national and regional law firms, where he has helped employers, unions, and individuals resolve complex legal matters. At Freeman Mathis & Gary, Carlo defends employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations. As part of his torts practice, Carlo works to minimize exposure and liability for clients involved in motor vehicle accidents, workplace and construction site accidents, negligence actions, premises liability, and construction defect cases. Carlo has recent trial experience, serving as second chair in a jury trial involving a fatal motor vehicle accident.
Carlo holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and earned his Juris Doctor from UC Davis School of Law. During law school, he served as director of the Workers' Rights Clinic, providing counseling to individuals on employment rights.
