Overview

Christopher "Chris" Hanlon is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP's Dallas office. Chris is a litigator who focuses his practice on defending companies, individuals and corporate clients from a variety of claims based in transportation, hospitality, industrial accidents, oil field accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, dram shop, professional liability defense and construction defect matters, in both state and federal courts. He serves as Vice-Chair of the firm's Southeast Tort practice team.   

Chris has extensive experience representing commercial motor carriers and their drivers in trucking cases, including large loss cases. He defends companies and their employees in catastrophic loss cases occurring in the oil field.  He also defends owners and operators of commercial properties in premises liability claims. 

Prior to joining the firm, Chris was a Partner at a well-known AmLaw 100 law firm, where he managed a docket consisting mainly of complex and catastrophic injury insurance defense cases.  

Chris received his B.S. in criminal justice from Marist College and his J.D. cum laude from South Texas College of Law.  He was selected to the 2016-2018 Texas Rising Stars List in Super Lawyers magazine in the practice area of Civil Litigation: Defense.
