Overview

Emily R. Muzyka is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Tampa office.  Ms. Muzyka’s practice focuses on the defense of claims in the areas of Labor & Employment and Professional Liability.

Ms. Muzyka attended the University of South Carolina, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Honors. Additionally, she minored in Biology and had concentrations in International and U.S. Politics. While at the University of South Carolina, she played Rugby for the USC Women’s Rugby Team and was an active member in the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity.

Ms. Muzyka received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she was the Lead Executive Editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law. At UConn Law, Ms. Muzyka was a student associate in the UConn Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic, where she advised clients on Patent and Trademark matters. Ms. Muzyka served as the Vice President for the Energy and Environmental Law Society for the 2021-2022 school year. In addition, she was an active member of the UConn Law Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Society and played softball for the UConn Law Softball Team. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, exploring the Tampa Bay region, and attending New York Mets games when the team is in town.
