James Lovett is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Las Vegas office. James is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has successfully obtained numerous patents and trademark registrations for his corporate clients. He is also part of the firm’s Intellectual Property, Life Sciences, Media and Real Estate interdisciplinary teams.
Not only does James file applications on behalf of clients by specializing in patent and trademark prosecution, but he is also an invaluable resource due to his skill and experience with enforcing his clients' rights over their intellectual property in infringement actions. In addition to intellectual property matters, James handles professional liability and employment law disputes. He routinely represents physicians, other healthcare providers and medical facilities in medical malpractice, wrongful death lawsuits and virtually every area of healthcare litigation. Moreover, James represents companies in employment discrimination and harassment litigation, as well as provides employers with advice and counsel on everything from drafting handbooks and agreements to presenting anti-discrimination and harassment trainings. Prior to joining FMG, James worked for an international law firm. He has represented a variety of clients, including local businesses and Fortune 500 companies, in all areas of intellectual property law and complex civil litigation.
