Overview

Kristin Hartman is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary's Boston office. Also barred in New Hampshire, Ms. Hartman has represented countless employers, companies and individuals in a wide range of matters  including employment claims, discrimination claims, professional practice claims as well as complex construction disputes in which she has frequently represented both architects and engineers. Currently, her practice focuses on the defense of both employment and  construction claims.

Relative to her employment practice Ms. Hartman handles all aspects of  discrimination related employment matters including harassment and retaliation claims, claims brought under Title VII, wage and hour claims, gender and age discrimination claims as well as claims for breach of contract. She has represented an array of clients before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and in a variety of  Massachusetts courts throughout her career.

Ms. Hartman also has over 20 years of experience in construction litigation, primarily defending both architects and engineers at mediations, arbitrations as well as trials. These disputes have ranged from construction of an athletic stadium, to Boston residential buildings, individual homes as well as the East Side Access Project in NY that extended the Long Island Railroad to the new Grand Central Madison Station.

Ms. Hartman is licensed in both the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. In addition to her trial experience Ms. Hartman has penned multiple appellate briefs and has appeared before the appellate courts in Massachusetts.

When not defending her clients Ms. Hartman enjoys spending time with her two boys as well as exploring hiking and walking trails in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire with her two dogs.
