Overview

Marc Finkel is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP's Boston, Hartford, and Providence offices. He is Office Chair of the firm's Providence office, Vice-Chair of the firm's Tort & Catastrophic Loss national practice section and Vice-Chair of the firm's Property Insurance Coverage national practice team. Mr. Finkel has extensive experience handling a wide range of complex litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout the Northeast, including trials, appeals, arbitrations, and grand jury proceedings. He also defends clients before professional licensing and disciplinary boards.

Mr. Finkel’s practice is largely devoted to the defense of matters involving wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, products liability, and insurance coverage matters. In addition, Mr. Finkel defends professional liability claims brought against attorneys, real estate professionals, and real estate appraisers.

Mr. Finkel also counsels and defends a wide range of businesses, including those in the commercial and residential property management, landscaping, snow and ice management, and construction industries. Additionally, Mr. Finkel has substantial experience defending product liability claims for a wide array of manufacturers, including those in the medical device, plumbing supply, industrial pumps and piping, and ceramic kiln industries.

Mr. Finkel has presented seminars and has spoken at events throughout the United States on commercial contract, tort and transportation matters. He also has written articles for national trade association publications, including for the Accredited Snow Contractor’s Association’s Snow Magazine.
