Michelle L. Covington is Senior Counsel in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Downtown LA office. Michelle is a talented litigator with significant experience representing clients in both state and federal courts. Her primary areas of practice include labor & employment, commercial litigation, and corporate governance issues. Michelle also counsels employers on handbook and policy creation, internal investigations, and related Human Resource concerns. Michelle has been on multiple jury and bench trial teams and is familiar with all stages of litigation from inception to jury verdict. In addition to being a stellar litigator, Michelle is a skilled communicator and works closely with clients to promote a strategic, business-oriented approach. Her candid and precise legal analysis eliminates the guesswork – allowing clients to make fully informed decisions about their case.
Michelle served as an extern for the Hon. Jon S. Tigar of the Northern District of California United States District Court. Michelle also served as Articles Editor for the Berkeley Journal of Employment & Labor Law and Publishing Editor for Ecology Law Quarterly.
