Paul-Michael La Fayette is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Columbus and Tampa offices and a co-chair of the firm’s national real estate practice team. He focuses his practice on professional liability defense, representing dentists, physicians, real estate agents and attorneys. He also defends professionals in administrative licensure proceedings before their respective boards.
Paul regularly represents government entities in litigation and as general counsel. His experience includes cases involving professional malpractice, premises liability, contracts, employment, construction, civil rights, zoning, wrongful death and product liability.
He has litigated and tried employment discrimination cases and handled civil rights and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission litigation. He advises employers on legal compliance, employment practices and risk management, and drafts employment agreements for both employers and employees.
