Luke's Labor & Employment Law practice focuses on representing clients in litigation and providing day-to-day counseling regarding federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. He has represented a wide array of employers ranging from publicly traded corporations, private and closely-held businesses, technology and start-up businesses, franchisees, and law firms. His litigation experience also includes defending clients against allegations of assault and battery, respondeat superior, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent hiring, and more. He is actively involved in all stages of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial preparation and resolution. Before joining FMG, Luke gained diverse legal experience across several sectors. At the Paulding County Magistrate Court, under Chief Magistrate Judge Martin Valbuena, Luke prepared daily legal memoranda on criminal offenses, contracts and other legal matters. Luke also gained experience at a commercial litigation firm in Alpharetta, GA, where he represented plaintiffs in matters concerning whistleblowing, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. Additionally, Luke worked with the in-house legal counsel at a transportation and logistics company on matters such as embezzlement, contract drafting and class actions.
