Overview

Shaheem M. Williams is a Partner in the Forest Park office of Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Government Law Practice Section. 

Before joining Freeman, Mathis & Gary, Shaheem worked as a Senior Assistant County Attorney for DeKalb County, Georgia, where he handled a variety of transactional matters, including local government financing, state and local tax matters, contract review and employee pension matters. He also defended the County and its officials in both state and federal litigation, including employee discrimination and retaliation suits, Open Meetings Act violations, whistleblower claims, real property tax appeals, quiet title actions and contract disputes.



Shaheem earned his Juris Doctor degree from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where he graduated cum laude. During law school, he served as Editor of the John Marshall Law Journal and Chair of the John Marshall Moot Court Board. Prior to law school, Shaheem earned his B.A. in Mathematics from Kean University in New Jersey and later taught high school Mathematics.
