Sydney Preston is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Downtown Los Angeles office. Her primary practice sections are Tort & Catastrophic Loss and Labor & Employment Law, and she is involved in the Homeowners Associations (HOA) interdisciplinary team. She is a graduate of the FMG Trial Academy and was nominated for Lawyers of Distinction in 2024.

Ms. Preston earned her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law. At Santa Clara, Ms. Preston served as Research Editor for the Santa Clara Law Review, President of the Labor & Employment Law Society, Treasurer for the First-Generation Law Society, a member of Santa Clara’s Honors Moot Court Advocacy Committee and as a mentor to 1L students. During her time in law school, Ms. Preston received the Witkin Award for Academic excellence for the highest grade in the class in Torts. As President of the Labor & Employment Law Society, and in collaboration with the Katherine & George Alexander Community Law Center, Ms. Preston organized a local clinic for members of the community to receive pro bono legal advice on a variety of employment related issues. Additionally, Ms. Preston competed in Santa Clara’s Honors Moot Court Internal competition, where she received Second-Best Brief of the competition, and she received the Reilly J. Farrell JD’21 Indomitable Spirit Award. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Davis.
