Mr. Mead's personal injury defense practice includes accidents involving cars, trucks, industrial and construction equipment; slip and falls; liquor liability; and products liability cases. Cases tried to verdict have included a range of injuries from claims of soft tissue injury to a double fatality with conscious pain and suffering as a result of a car striking a load of lumber that had fallen off a truck.
Recent summary dispositions have included a man run over by a large SUV on the client's premises; a women with a broken neck resulting in paralysis claiming faulty recall repairs to seat rails; a double fatality in a post-collision fuel fed fired case alleging faulty recall repairs to a vehicle’s fuel system; and three individuals severely burned by 3000° molten steel claiming an issue with the burners and controls of an industrial furnace.
Mr. Mead represents auto dealerships throughout the state of New Jersey for personal injury and consumer claims. Mr. Mead's professional liability practice includes the defense of homeowner associations, real estate professionals, lawyers, accountants and residential and commercial construction professions.
Mr. Mead has been successful in obtaining defense verdicts, summary judgments and favorable resolutions in matters claiming copyright and trademark infringement. He has also represented clients who have been sued for claims relating to ADA premises allegations and claims relating to retaining sign language professionals for individuals with hearing impairments. In those cases Mr. Mead has worked with the owners of commercial premises and medical professionals to ensure that they are ADA compliant.
Mr. Mead was born and raised in Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey; was a civil division law clerk for two trial judges in Middlesex County, 1990-91, and has resided in South Jersey since 1991.
His civic community service includes volunteer positions as President of the Medford Youth Athletic Association [MYAA] and Commissioner of the MYAA NFL Youth Flag Football League.
