Ms. Saleki graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she majored in political science, emphasizing international relations and political theory. She then earned her Juris Doctor degree at Southwestern Law School.
In law school, Ms. Saleki was a board member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program. She was also a Southwestern Law School Writing Fellow, a Student Research Associate for Lexis Nexis, a Street Law Clinic Student-Teacher and Advocate, Treasurer of the Middle Eastern Law Students Association, a Teen Court volunteer, and a member of the International Law Club. Ms. Saleki co-founded and served as Vice President of the Persian Law Students Association.
Ms. Saleki’s legal experience started with an externship at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in the Hardcore Gang Unit. She later transitioned into civil law and clerked at a local litigation defense firm.
After law school, Ms. Saleki was chosen to serve as a Fellow for a prestigious litigation fellowship through the Los Angeles division of the American Board of Trial Advocates. She garnered experience working for some of the best civil litigation firms in Southern California through the fellowship. The fellowship included a judicial clerkship at the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Ms. Saleki’s legal career started at a well-respected civil defense firm where she primarily defended public entities and public utility providers. Her primary focus areas included civil rights and government practice. She also practiced personal injury and premises liability law and some business law.
