Miami office expansion

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP (FMG) continues its rapid expansion in Florida with the addition of three attorneys to its Miami office from Gaebe, Mullen, Antonelli & DiMatteo. These latest lateral hires further strengthen and expand the firm’s trial capabilities in handling complex litigation matters across the Sunshine State.

Joining FMG are Devang Desai as a partner, Ayesa Conger as senior counsel, and Sarah Medina as an associate. Together, they bring extensive experience in Tort and Catastrophic Loss cases, Homeowners Association (HOA) litigation, Directors and Officers (D&O) suits, and Insurance Coverage matters.

This growth is part of FMG’s broader strategic expansion throughout Florida. In 2024, FMG established its Miami office through the merger with Klein Park & Lowe P.L. Attorneys Robert Klein, Houston Park, Richard Jones, Alex Diaz and Christopher Fraga brought with them a statewide reputation as a premier group of E&O attorneys defending Lawyers, Accountants, Real Estate Agents and other professionals.

FMG opened its Orlando office in December 2024 with the addition of a highly regarded Healthcare and Medical Malpractice team from Beytin, McLaughlin, McLaughlin, O’Hara & Bocchino P.A. That team includes John Bocchino, Kevin O’Hara, Travis Edmands, Michael Berkley, John Bacic and David Radar.

In 2025, FMG expanded again in both Orlando and Tampa, welcoming four attorneys from Telan, Meltz, Wallace & Eide P.A. These additions include Eric Eide, Ruth Osborne, Kristen Nasser and Keegan Shelby. Their practices focus on Healthcare, Tort and Catastrophic litigation, D&O and Commercial litigation. FMG also added Construction and Design attorneys Mike Rigelsky, Peter Lenart and Kara Hilt from Goldberg Segalla, enhancing the firm’s capabilities in Construction law.

Most recently, FMG welcomed three Healthcare and Medical Malpractice partners in Tampa: Brian Agliano, Tyler Batteese and Ted Gale, who joined from Batteese Agliano & Gale PLLC.

“Our growth in Miami is just one part of a much larger story across Florida,” said Ben Mathis, managing partner of FMG. “We are pleased to welcome Devang, Ayesa and Sarah to the firm, and we’re equally proud of the tremendous talent we’ve added in Orlando, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale. These attorneys bring exceptional skill and insight that will benefit our clients across the region.”

FMG now has more than 45 attorneys across four Florida offices: Miami, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. Nationwide, the firm has more than 450 attorneys across 21 states. This continued growth underscores FMG’s strategic commitment to building a full-service legal platform in Florida with a focus on responsiveness, local knowledge and depth across a wide range of practice areas.
