Overview

Annaliese Schiersch is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s San Diego office and a member of the Firm’s Financial Services & Banking Practice Section. Ms. Schiersch brings a background in regulatory compliance and complex civil litigation to her practice, with experience in matters arising under federal and state statutory frameworks, including assisting in the defense of potentially responsible parties in large-scale CERCLA actions brought by the California Department of Toxic Substances Control and involving complex National Contingency Plan compliance and liability allocation issues.

Ms. Schiersch has experience handling all phases of civil litigation across a range of matters, from pre-litigation liability assessment and regulatory analysis through discovery, mediation, motion practice, and trial preparation. Her work involves statutory and regulatory frameworks requiring careful evaluation of compliance obligations and risk exposure. She approaches each matter with a strategic, client-focused perspective, emphasizing practical solutions and proactive risk management.

While attending Seattle University School of Law, Ms. Schiersch was a finalist in the James E. Bond ABA Moot Court Competition and went on to compete in the ABA’s Regional National Appellate Advocacy Competition. She received the Pro Bono Pledge Outstanding Service Award in recognition of her commitment to community service and continues to volunteer with local nonprofits serving underserved communities.
