Overview

Bill Buechner is Senior Counsel in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Atlanta office. Mr. Buechner practices in the firm’s National Labor and Employment, Insurance Coverage and Extra-Contractual Liability and Appellate Advocacy Sections. He represents employers in labor and employment law matters and insurers in insurance coverage matters. He also represents debt collectors in disputes under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. In addition, Mr. Buechner's experience includes teacher, employee and student issues unique to public and private educational institutions; including terminations, student discipline and expulsion, harassment, constitutional protections, and Title IX cases.

Mr. Buechner received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University (B.A., cum laude), and his law degree from the University of North Carolina (J.D., with honors), where he was a member of the North Carolina Law Review and the Order of the Coif. Before joining the firm, he served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable G.R. Smith, Magistrate Judge, United States District Court, Southern District of Georgia.
