Marc Shrake is a Partner and Co-Chair of the Nashville office and a practicing member of the Los Angeles and Dallas offices of Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP.
For 35 years Mr. Shrake has handled complex insurance-related litigation for major corporations, private companies, large property owners, domestic carriers, London syndicates, and risk pools, involving virtually every type of insurance policy and risk-transfer mechanism.
Mr. Shrake's cases have arisen from wars and insurrections, terrorist attacks, riots and protests, health care management, semiconductor chip failures, factory fires, construction defects, contamination, embezzlement, hurricanes and storms, earthquakes, wildfires, environmental disasters, pollution, coronavirus, mold, product recalls, advertising, pop star deaths, fire truck collisions, car crashes, employee claims, crime, catastrophic personal injury, and other events.
Mr. Shrake has worked on cases in numerous industries including agriculture, technology, health care, logistics, transcontinental shipping, entertainment, construction, real estate, hospitality, steel processing, foundries, food, shopping centers, insurance brokerages, financial services, network marketing, and many others.
Mr. Shrake's commercial litigation experience includes complex disputes involving heath care, medical devices, class actions, cyber breaches, professional liability, RICO claims, business torts, contracts, trade secrets, and intellectual property.
Mr. Shrake has worked on cases across the country and on four continents. He is licensed to practice in Tennessee, California, Minnesota, and Texas, and he has appeared pro hac vice in numerous other jurisdictions.
