Mr. Boron has represented clients in qui tam False Claims Act claims and investigations, denial of health, life, and disability benefits claims, and commercial disputes among third-party administrators, managed care organizations, plan sponsors, and plan fiduciaries related to employee benefit plans. Mr. Boron also specializes in advising employers and executives on issues related to executive compensation and benefits.
Mr. Boron also has represented employers across the United States in a diverse range of labor and employment matters. His practice includes employment discrimination and harassment claims, wage and hour claims, FMLA and ADA claims, unfair labor practice claims and other NLRB disputes, and disputes surrounding enforcement and defense of non-compete, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements. He regularly appears before the EEOC and related federal and state agencies, including the DOL and NLRB and he also represents employers before federal and state courts throughout the country in a myriad of employment disputes. In addition, he advises employers on handbook policies, FLSA classifications, leave and accommodation requests, and drafting of non-competition and non-solicitation covenants and agreements.
Mr. Boron’s commercial and contracts practice encompasses class action, directors and officers litigation, product defect, False Claim Act cases, qui tam actions, TCPA, FDCPA, unfair trade practices claims, and derivative and direct action suits. He also defends numerous healthcare providers in life science and medical device litigation. His areas of expertise include commercial insurance coverage issues, litigation of extra-contractual claims. He also defends homeowners association and community association boards in governance, breach of duty, and related claims. Mr. Boron also has represented homeowner’s associations, community property companies, developers and property management companies in a myriad of claims involving members and tenants, including claims involving contract claims, torts, governance, construction, Fair Housing complaints, FDCPA claims, and wrongful evictions.
In his Data Security, Privacy & Technology practice, Mr. Boron advises businesses on compliance with U.S. federal and state data security and privacy laws, such as HIPAA, serves as breach counsel to provide comprehensive assistance in the event of a data security incident, including forensic investigations, customer notification, public relations, and state and federal regulatory investigations, and assists clients to proactively prevent and manage data security events through security and privacy assessments, development of written policies and procedures, drafting and negotiation of vendor contracts, and workforce training. In addition, he defends organizations in privacy litigation, such single-plaintiff or class action cases and enforcement actions by government agencies, as well as in business-to-business litigation and other Technology Errors & Omissions (Tech E&O) claims.
