
David Chang is Senior Counsel at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Los Angeles - LAX office. He is part of the Firm’s Commercial Litigation/Directors & Officers, Financial Services & Banking, Labor & Employment Law and Professional Liability/E&O practice sections. He is also actively involved in the Accountants Liability team. Mr. Chang has been recognized by the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ for 2025-2026. Having a wide range of legal experience across the litigation and corporate worlds, he offers a strong yet varied background in commercial litigation.
Mr. Chang is experienced in a variety of civil matters in state and federal court, FINRA, and other regulatory bodies. He has advised employers in matters relating to exposure, business strategy and response to litigation claims, including wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims under California’s Private Attorneys General Act, wrongful termination, discrimination and retaliation matters. He also represents accountants, financial advisors, real estate agents and other professionals in claims brought by clients and client successors. Mr. Chang has also represented and advised corporate clients on compliance with government, regulatory and corporate matters, updating policies and procedures, reducing risk exposure, and navigating the AI landscape.
Mr. Chang earned his law degree from the University of California, Davis and his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine.
