As a member of FMG’s Allied Healthcare National Practice Team, Ms. Marquis has gained the necessary skills and experience to guide and assist healthcare professionals, directors, officers along with provider networks and organizations.
Ms. Marquis’ employment practice includes wrongful discharge, race, gender, age, sexual orientation and disability discrimination, as well as racial and sexual harassment, ADA compliance, Labor Code violations, defamation, interference with contract, and wage and hour disputes. She handles administrative proceedings before the California Labor Commission, the Fair Employment and Housing Commission, the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Her litigation practice includes contract disputes, tort claims, homeowner’s association claims, errors and omissions defense and business litigation matters.
Ms. Marquis also has extensive experience providing preventative advice on all aspects of the employer/employee relationship and business matters, including contract advice, employment agreements, arbitration, classification of personnel, protection of trade secrets, policy manuals, ADA compliance, personnel leaves, progressive discipline, severance, termination and administrative proceedings. She has significant experience training employees, supervisors, and business owners on a wide range of topics focused on the prevention of litigation.
Ms. Marquis has spoken nationally on a variety of employment and litigation topics for claims counsel and general counsel including legal updates on insurance law developments, employment topics, recruitment policies, investigating claims of harassment and discrimination, updates in the law and training seminars.
