Kimberly Rivera is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Downtown Los Angeles office. Mrs. Rivera is a member of the Tort & Catastrophic Loss and Labor & Employment practice sections. She focuses her practice on the defense of high stakes tort, catastrophic injury, employment disputes and general litigation matters. She has over 25 years of experience defending corporate clients in state and federal courts in all aspects of litigation, from inception through settlement, arbitration, trial and post-trial matters. She is an experienced litigator, legal strategist and legal advisor to her clients.
Prior to joining FMG, Mrs. Rivera represented a wide range of clients on legal issues before state and federal courts, including large national and international corporations, insurance companies, small businesses, manufacturers, distributors, contractors, retailers, premises owners and individuals in products liability, environmental, employment, mass tort, silica, talc, premises, construction and general civil litigation matters. She earned her Juris Doctor from USC where she participated on the Moot Court Honors team and served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Harry S. Pregerson of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mrs. Rivera is a member of the American Bar Association, Woman Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, Latina Lawyers Association, and Los Angeles California Bar Association’s toxic tort, employment and litigation sections. She also participates in pro bono activities including the LA County Bar Association’s Veteran’s Legal Services Project, Tickets and Expungements pro-bono Clinic and the LA County Bar Association’s High School Mentoring Program.
