Overview

Ryan Giggi is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Boston and Hartford offices. His focus is in Labor & Employment, Professional Liability and business disputes.

Ryan attended Johns Hopkins University (class of 2014) and Boston University School of Law (class of 2021), where he served as a Notes Editor on the Boston University Law Review. Since joining FMG, Ryan has focused his practice in defending employers in various discrimination, retaliation, and wage & hour claims, and defending accountants, attorneys, architects, and engineers in professional malpractice claims, and representing businesses and individuals in complex contractual disputes, securities claims, and commercial disputes. Ryan also has significant experience prosecuting and defending unfair business practice claims and defending general liability claims.

Representative Cases & Clients
  • Secured a dismissal of an unfair business practice and contractual offset claims in favor of a client credit union, which had been brought by a former contractor of the credit union.  Ryan was the primary author of the brief and delivered the oral argument.
  • Assisted in securing a trial verdict in favor of a client airport operator bringing unfair business practice and trespass claims against a neighboring business.
  • Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Appeals Unit (internship)
    • During this internship, Mr. Giggi was a primary author of two appellate briefs that were submitted to the Massachusetts Court of Appeals, and he appeared in oral argument to support one of these briefs. The District Attorney’s Office won both appeals.
